Ordered and picked up food. Very nice service and very tasty food. We were completely satisfied. We will be happy to order here again.

The food was good, and the request that the dishes only be served 'half hot' was complied with. Only the fact that you had to wait an hour for the meal after ordering (at 6:15 p.m.) (at 7:20 p.m.) was not okay.

The best Indian restaurant in Kassel, we like to order there (to be picked up) and occasionally go out to eat there. Slightly more expensive, but worth the money thanks to the unique taste. Service very friendly too!

First of all, the most important thing: You get solid Indian food here - the whole thing is not cheap, but tasty, with a nice greeting from the kitchen and friendly service. Unfortunately I missed the last 10% in culinary terms. The restaurant does not differ in culinary terms from the typical "Indian around the corner", apart from the fanfare when serving the food. The ambience of bygone times - tables set with fine white blankets and cloth napkins - is unfortunately completely gone. There is now a simple bistro atmosphere. Wood veneer tables, the old baker's furnishings. If you can do this in a kebab shop, it just doesn't correspond to what you stand for in the Taj Mahal. In summary, unfortunately not worth the money.

Unfortunately, the kitchen didn't convince me in terms of taste. Some of the portions were small, although the dishes cost a high price.

I already knew this restaurant from another visit there. Back then I liked everything very much, which unfortunately wasn't the case this time. Not only that we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food, it also tasted terrible Chicken Korma, I usually eat Chicken Korma when we eat Indian but this dish was a catastrophe. Lax taste and lukewarm. Also yesterday the staff was hopelessly overwhelmed and a bit chaotic. Luckily we had cash with us, the EC machine was with everything Abundance also still broken. A shame about this restaurant ... it used to be really good!

Unfortunately no recommendation from me. Food was lukewarm and took 1 1/2 hours to be served. It also took a while with the drinks. Uncomfortable atmosphere ... not as shown in the pictures.

Very friendly and courteous service! Nice ambience and a cozy terrace where you can sometimes enjoy the sun in the evening. The food is awesome and cooked with many typical Indian spices (Chicken Madras highly recommended). It is fair to say that the Taj Mahal is the best Indian in Kassel!

We ordered there for the first time today and had it delivered by house. There was approximately 1.5 hours between ordering by phone and the desired time. However, the food came a good 45 minutes late, despite being asked twice by phone. Not at all ... Never again....

Food and drinks very good and very friendly staff. We felt comfortable and will definitely come again.

Finally! A really good Indian restaurant in Kassel. I would recommend the set menu for two which starts with a glass of champagne, a soup, a starter, a main and a desert 👌

We like to go to the buffet, because we would like to eat / taste everything from the menu. Since the buffet is always nice and varied ... just seeeeeehr delicious. And this rice .... Everything only to be recommended. You will find something for everyone and the desserts a dream.

I have been here over 10x and find this place to be a very good Indian restaurant in Kassel. The Kashmiri Naan is really special and Mango Lassi is also well made. The service has always been good, with friendly waiters/ waitresses. Their free appetizer, which is a cracker with assorted sauces in pretty good too. I take 1 star because the food is highly inconsistent. Sometimes it is amazing and other times its bland. Hope they can solve this!

I can only recommend a visit. The food is delicious and you will also be advised if something is spicy. The prices are not high. It is a good atmosphere and in the background quiet music. The waiters are all friendly and you will be served quickly. If you like Indian food and flair you should eat in the Taj Mahal.

I have given 2 stars for the serving staff who were very friendly... but the food was a big disappointment. Almost everything lacked flavour and taste, I can only presume the Chef does not really know what each dish should taste like. For example the Chicken Tikka should be marinated for several hours, idealy overnight so that when you cut the meat you can see the marinade has soaked 1-2mm into the meat, so that when it is baked you get a very deep flavour. What was served to me was fresh chicken dipped in a weak source then cooked in an oven.... it was dry and tasteless. I also think that they did not have enough staff I counted only 3 including the Chef and we had a very long wait inbetween courses. Sadly we will not be returning. Very disapointed. We were a small party of 4 people who booked two days in advance.

Could be only is but had very bad experience with take away on vegetation food. Paneer masala was awful (smelly and bad taste) that we couldn’t eat. End up eating with pickle and daal in New Year’s Eve. Dal was good, papad and salad was given on curtesy.

Food was great but the wait was too long for me. No starters just a meal and I was in the restaurant for just over 2 hours. If you have more patience than I do and like good Indian food I'd recommend this place.
